We are living in an era of constant technological change. Nowhere is this more evident than in the residential entertainment and technology market. New technologies such as digital phone service, digital cable, digital satellite, wireless computer networks, and high definition television have given today's consumer a wealth of choices to make. These technologies have also left people with a lot of unanswered questions. This is where we come in. As world class distributors, installers, and technicians of select digital equipment we are devoted to understanding and serving the needs of today's sophisticated consumers. It's our job to inform, educate and supply our customers with all of the latest and greatest digital solutions for the home.
We are a unique company in that we develop custom digital solutions that are tailored to meet the needs of each customer we work with. You will not find a one size fits all, and sort the specifics out later, approach here. We know that the only way to design a solution for someone is to find out exactly what they're looking for. This is why we employ a consultation based approach to our business. The process usually goes something like this: we schedule a time that we can meet with you in your home for a no cost consultation. During this consultation we listen to what YOU want and offer our advice along the way in an effort to come up with a solution. We take this information back to our office and come up with a job quotation. Once the quotation is approved we schedule a time for installation. We come in, install the equipment, and then do a full training session. We then back up all of our work with a full warranty. It's that simple!

Computer networking used to be a term reserved for business environments. With increased integration of the personal computer into our daily lives and the growing trend of people preferring to complete work from home this is no longer the case. Advanced technologies such as virtual private networks that allow you to work from home, wireless devices such as cell phone and laptops, home media PC's, music downloading & sharing programs, digital photography, digital phone services, and even video chatting with distant relatives have made computer networking a necessity for virtually every home owner. At Digitek we that have the ability to analyze the individual needs of each home owner and come up with a plan to meet your expectations today and expand to meet your expectations down the road. We also employ Cisco trained network professionals that can design and setup a network to meet even the most technically demanding home owners' needs.

Distributed audio systems can be one of the most enjoyable aspects of a new home. Vast improvements in "in wall" and "in ceiling" flush mounted speakers have given us ability to fill virtually any size room with deep rich ambient music that give you the sound and feel of floor standing speakers while being virtually invisible. With audio distribution a home owner has the capability to play multiple audio sources in any room or area that they desire. With an extensive amount of in wall, or in ceiling speakers to choose from, we offer our clients the flexibility to meet virtually any budget and the ability to deliver the very best performance available.
Distributed audio doesn't stop there though. We can also place speakers outside the home for year round enjoyment. These speakers can be weatherproof stereo speakers, rock speakers, or even speakers disguised as floral planters. All of these solutions can be tucked away from view or placed with the landscaping in mind.
Another HUGE advancement in the area of distributed audio has been the development of keypad and touch-screen systems. These systems offer many advantages over the standard volume control knob that people typically think of. When properly configured the keypads/touch-screens allow you control every component in your home audio system, from your XM or AM/FM radio receiver to your digital jukebox. Intelligent feedback from components even allows you see and interactively change what AM/FM and XM stations your on right from the keypad. More advanced systems can incorporate a digital jukebox, allowing you to store up to thousands of CD's. With proper integration you can view, select, and even search through your entire song collection, sorting by artist, theme, genre, and more.

Imagine sitting on the couch with your significant other on a chilly winter night and deciding that you want to settle in and watch a movie. This used to mean that you would have to get up and search through DVD collection by hand, then load your DVD, then go across the room to turn off the lights, and stumble back across the room to get back to your couch. Then you will have to try to work your remote in the dark. With simple home automation this process is a thing of the past. The process could go something like this: you pick up your color touch screen remote control and search through your entire DVD collections by theme, genre, featured actors, or just by looking at the cover art all on your television. Then you select the DVD you want to watch and push the lighting button to turn the lights down to a preset level or off all together. Should you decide that you're cold during the movie you can use your touch screen to turn up the heat, or even turn on your gas fireplace.
This scenario is simply a taste of what a home control system can do in one room of the home. If you'd like to hear more please contact us for a free in home consultation.

Any home owner with children has dreaded the thought of going on vacation and leaving their children home. With the implementation of a camera system with remote monitoring these worries can be a thing of the past. Remote monitoring gives a home owner the ability to check in on their house any time of the day or night from any where in the world. We at Digitek have the ability to implement these technologies and even work them into a home automation system giving home owners the ability to turn lights on and off or even monitor the temperature of their home.

Step 1: Meet with the Home Owner
We set up a time that we can meet with you at the building site. The main purpose of this meeting is gain an understanding of the lifestyle and level of technical sophistication you are looking for in your new home. We do this by asking you what YOU want and offering suggestions, based on years of experience, to facilitate the process. We then walk through the home to determine locations for your televisions, phones, computers, vacuum outlets, etc. We use this information to develop a wiring plan and quotation for your review. The end result of this process is a completely unique plan that addresses all of your needs and a mutual understanding of the work that is to be done.
Step 2: We meet with your other contractors
We know that the best to way accomplish our work is through communication with all other parties involved. This is why we always meet with the home builder and electrical contractor and develop a strong working relationship. In cases where the home owners needs go beyond the ordinary we will work other contractors including architects, framers, and even interior designers.
Step 3: Rough In
During the rough construction phase of your home we install all necessary wiring as outlined in the wiring plan. This is an exciting time and we often end up changing and/or adding to the wiring plan as new ideas come up. This is also where our years of project management skills come into play.
Step 4: Finish Products Meeting
During the finish construction phase of your home we meet with you to discuss the products that we wired for. These products will be everything from a router for your computer network, to speakers for the distributed audio system if you so chose. We take all of the information from this meeting and develop a quotation for your review. Once a final decision has been made we order the products and schedule a date for final installation
Step 5: Installation and Education
We install the products in your home. Then we work with you to customize the systems we have installed. This customization includes everything right down to programming your favorite AM/FM stations. After the installation is complete we test all of the systems to ensure problem free operation. Once this process is complete we walk through all of the systems and give you a full education on all installed products. We also leave you with a comprehensive report outlining the operation of the components that helps to answer most basic questions. We back all of this up with full product warranties and no charge on return visits within 30 days of the installation completion date.

Structured wiring is the most important step of the entire new home construction process. Simply put, structured wiring is a planned cabling system which systematically lays out the wiring and wire management necessary for communications; including voice, data, and video. More specifically, structured wiring is the process of analyzing current technology trends, possible future technologies, and home owner's expectations to come up with a wiring solution that will allow them to live with, and expand their home into the future. Some of the technologies that we focus on include high definition cable or satellite, phone and internet systems, distributed audio systems, camera systems, door fon stations, networked media servers, and even centrally distributed high definition video. The end result of a properly designed structured wiring implementation is the joy of sitting in any room, patio, porch, or garage listening to the radio, XM satellite radio, your I Pod, CD's, or media server while checking your email and letting someone in front door via your cordless touchtone phone. All of these features and more are discussed during our comprehensive 5 step process to ensure that you get exactly what you want when and where you want it. With wiring plans starting at $ 1.00 per square foot of home, we are sure to meet you budget as well as your expectations. When you meet with a DIGITEK representative, we will also discuss "future proofing" your home by means of structured wiring.

Central vacuum systems have gone from a luxury item to standard equipment for today's home owners. The EPA now estimates that air within the home can be up to 70 times more hazardous than air outside the home. Today's central vacuum systems feature exhaust systems that exit outside the home, greatly reducing the amount of allergens and other in your new home. Some other key features of central vacuum systems include quiet operation, improved ergonomics over using a standard handheld, a washable filter for years of trouble free performance, floorboard "sweep in" outlets for hardwood floors and kitchens, and greater overall vacuum power for cleaner carpets. All of this combined with high reliability and reasonable prices have made the decision to implement a central vacuum system all but a no brainer for anyone building a home.
The central vacuum cleaner is one of the most important tools for expelling pollutants, including harmful allergens such as dust mites and their minute droppings. Regular thorough cleaning of carpets, mattresses, upholstered furniture, curtains and drapery will reduce the dust mite allergens in your home. To prevent the recirculation of harmful, microscopic particles, the central vacuum cleaner should be vented outside the home.
The agitation and air flow created by your vacuum's power head or attachment to clean you surfaces causes a huge number of minute dust mite dropping to be drawn into it. The key is to prevent their reentry into the living environment in smaller, more dangerous forms. Bags and filters have some effect, better when these devices are new and clean, but they do not come close to matching the effectiveness of an externally vented central vacuum cleaner.
Facts about the Hayden central vacuum systems:
- Power unit is located outside the living area
- Fine dust particles are vented outside
- No recirculation of house dust into the living areas
- Reduces the level of dust mite droppings; a known cause of asthma
- Expels other contaminants and gases outside the living areas
